Certified Pool Operator

This CPO certification course is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operations. The CPO program has delivered more training than any other program in the pool and spa industry since 1972,  resulting in more than 400,000 CPO certifications in 100 countries. This training  has helped protect millions of swimmers by reducing hazards at aquatic facilities.

 

Course Information:

  • Courses are taught mostly at your facility.

  • The certification program requires participation in either a two-day class (14-16 hours) taught by a certified instructor, or the blended format that combines the online Pool Operator Primer and one day of the Pool Operator Fusion class of instruction.

  • The certification program includes pool and spa chemistry, testing, treatment, filtration, maintenance, automatic feeding equipment, and government requirements.

  • The certification program requires an open book written examination.

  • The CPO certification is valid worldwide for five years.

How to Become a Certified Pool Operator:

 1) Purchase the Online Primer Course. You will recieve one access code and your text book. Plan your time to take 10 hours to complete the online course. You have access to your course for 6 months after you begin your course.

 2) Purchase the 'Pool Operator Fusion' course.  The 'Fusion' course includes your open book exam at the end of the day. On completion of Fusion, you will receive your CPO Certification.
